Arran is a coastal city located in eastern Morley. It is depicted to be a mountainous landscape on maps.
History
According to legends, long before the War of Four Crowns, a civil war broke out that devastated much of southern Morley. Outside what is now Arran, a terrible battle took place that killed many Morleyans. As the battle went on, two witches appeared, seemingly unharmed by any weapon, and forced both armies to their knees with just a gesture. They chose a girl from one army and a boy from the other, and led them up onto a huge boulder that erupted from the earth. There, they were crowned the first King and Queen of the island, ending the war. Ever since that day, Morley has been been ruled by a King and a Queen, and their coronations were always held at the boulder outside of Arran.[1]
Trivia
- Arran bears the same name as a real-life Scottish island.
- Some of the shipwrecks from Emperor Finlay Morgengaard's whaling fleet can still be seen from Arran, poking of out the water.[2]
