DIG DUG Mini is a part of a series of web games based off from several Namco arcade titles, This series is known as the "Mini" series as all of the games are subtitled that way
Gameplay
DIG DUG Mini plays very similarly to the Mr.Driller games as you have to drill blocks while constantly moving downward.
There are only two buttons you need to play this game, this being the left and right arrow keys (or swiping left and right if your on mobile). The controls are very sensitive, making it a very hard to play game.
Taizo cannot fire his Harpoon at enemies, in order to inflate enemies you have to land on top of them which triggers a quick-time event, you them must franticly press left and right opposite of each other to fill the meter in order to pop an enemy.
New elements
DIG DUG Mini adds tons of new hazards and enemy mechanics, Pookas are now very fast will chase you down while Fygars don't move at all and shoot fire balls upward at the incoming player. New hazards were added in such as Spikes, Bombs and Glue Traps. Power-ups were added in the form of a carrot and mushroom. The Carrot lets you free fall through blocks, hazards and monsters. The mushroom works as a temporary shield.

- Collect 100 diamonds
- Kill Pooka 50 times
- Kill Fygar 25 times
- Dig to 1,000 meters in one game
- Get out from glue 25 times
- Collect shield 10 times
- Collect Drill 10 times
- Collect 15 big diamonds in one game
- Collect 1,000 diamonds
- Explode 100 bombs
- Destroy 5,000 blocks
- Start the game 50 times
