Headstriker

Headstriker is a unique Battle Sword from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Headstriker is a weapon that scales with character levels. Once powerful enough, Headstriker will have a very high maximum damage, but a rather low minimum damage. This high spread of damage can be rather frustrating at times, but on average, the damage output allowed by Headstriker is decent.

As Headstriker's wielder levels, it will also increase its chance of Deadly Strike. The chances can become so dramatically high that every hit will always be a Deadly Strike by 67. When an attack is a Deadly Strike, it doubles in damage. Therefore, at high levels, those using Headstriker can become immensely powerful in their damage output. This would ultimately be the compelling reason to upgrade Headstriker to a Conquest Sword.

Headstriker also prevents Monster Heal, which in Nightmare and Hell difficulties can be very useful, as enemies with high life are often frustrating to fight due to their ability to heal quickly.
