A Broken Will

A Broken Will is a quest composed of three steps that rewards the player with one of three legendary swords: Arc Edge, Sol Edge or Void Edge.^[1] The quest can be started after reaching level 38 and completing the quest The Vanguard's Hand.^[2]

After a player has obtained one of the legendary swords from this quest, the player can obtain an exotic sword by fully upgrading the legendary sword and infusing it to 280 Attack, which begins the quest A Sword Reforged. Shaxx will also sell the other two legendary swords, so this quest only needs to be completed once.

Quest Steps

Step One

	Shard of Darkness
	"Speak to Lord Shaxx." Objectives: Speak to Lord Shaxx.

Step Two

	Reforging the Blade
	"Gather Hadium Flakes from the Dreadnaught and Motes of Light to purify them." Objectives: Gather Hadium Flakes from the Dreadnaught and Motes of Light to purify them. Bring 25 Hadium Flakes and 10 Motes of Light to Lord Shaxx.[2] Rewards: Experience

Step Three

	Withstand the Elements
	"Gather materials from Mars, the Cosmodrome or the Moon that resonate with the Light." Objectives: Gather materials from Mars, the Cosmodrome or the Moon that resonate with the Light. Lord Shaxx gives the option to choose Arc Edge for 25 Spinmetal, Sol Edge for 25 Helium Filaments, or Void Edge for 25 Relic Iron.[2] Rewards: Legendary Weapon Arc Edge, Sol Edge, or Void Edge Experience
