Zean (ゼアン) is a Dwarf alchemist of the Birgitt Duchy, developing method to seal Demon King’s Fragments.[1]
Summary
He is a collaborator that Asagi Minami found while seeking a way to counter Vandalieu, and is studying the Demon King's Fragments with the help of Asagi and his group, funding and surveillance from Duke Birgitt.
His research is inconvenient for Vandalieu, but the suppression of the Demon King's Fragments itself is necessary for human society, so it is left alone[1].
Incidentally, Birkyne had intervened in the process that led him to cooperate with Asagi[2][1], but it didn't matter because he perished not long after.
