Nabu no longer needs a host to be Doctor Fate.
History
One of the ancient Lords of Order, Nabu reclaimed the sentience it once held in the old Dr. Fate/Kent Nelson relationship, but this time without the need for a human host to bear its mystical power. By channeling his consciousness through the Helm of Fate and Cloak of Destiny, he is known simply as Fate. He joined Batman's team and helped in teleporting his comrades to the Gulag battle. He saved several heroes from the U.N.'s nuclear bomb by 'swallowing' them with the Cloak during the battle.
