The Glass Castle was once a stronghold for ancient Firelings, and their Ember Queens. It was essentially the Fireling equivalent of the Castle of the Crystal.
History
Since the Great Dim, it has decayed severely, only a husk of it's former self. Thurma and Nita in conflict of who should be crowned Ember Queen made it there task to learn how to create a new Glass Castle through the art of Fire Angling. However many practioners of the art had died during the Great Dim, though the two contenders to the throne found the Fire That Stays who agreed to teach them the art. However it was revealed that the old flame planned to have the two Firelings destroy one another and also plotted the complete genocide of the remaining Firelings. With the fate of the people in jeopardy the two put aside their difference and foiled the Fire That Stays. Later the two banded with the rest of the Firelings and together and used Fire Angling to restore it to it's former glory.
