Fire Angling was an ancient Fireling art of using immense heat to create glass. It was difficult to control, as using too much heat would break the glass, and making it too cool would dissuade the glass from forming.
History
After the Great Dim the few Fire Anglers left began to create Hallows all over Mithra as a remembrance to those lost in the calamity. In order to determine the succession of Ember Queen, Thurma and Nita sought the greatest of the remaining Fire Anglers. At a nearby Hallow some ways from the capital, found Glasme using what little skill she had to create glass memorials to the Fire Anglers who were deemed to be the greatest and perished in the Great Dim.
The two then were directed to see the Fire That Stays to master the art.
