Nishio Yuka

Nishio Yuka (西尾 夕香) was born on March 31, 1994 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is currently affiliated with HiBiKi talent agency. She voices Aimoto Rinku and is a lead vocalist for Happy Around!.

Biography

Nishio Haruka (西尾晴香)[1] was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. She attended Keio Shonan Fujisawa Junior and Senior High School and graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Environmental and Information Studies.[2]

On October 16, 2016, under the stage name HARUCA, she made her major singing debut with the single "Eien no Kotae". One year later, she made her debut in the voiceover industry. She also began teaching herself to DJ sometime around 2018[3], performing at various clubs and events[4]. On April 2, 2019 she passed Hibiki's joint audition with S Inc. and Ace Crew Entertainment and became affiliated with them under the name "Nishio Yuka".

Yuka describes herself as “calmly and energetically brimming with curiosity” and as someone who tries anything at least once. Despite claiming she is prone to doing as she pleases, she says her favorite aspect of herself is her strong willpower.[5]

She used to be a radio host for the radio program "AniGirl ~Anisong Hits Radio~" from April 4, 2016 until March 26, 2018. Together with Shindo Amane she is part of the duo "Oyunesu". Yuka says that Amane is her favorite person in HiBiKi and that they get along well despite the large age gap.[6]

  • Yuka's hobbies include playing games, attending concerts, crafting and surprises.
    • She also enjoys crane games and says that, for her, the fun part is not getting the prizes, but rather playing with the claw machine itself.[8]
    • She also enjoys playing mahjong and horse races. It is said that when discussing horse races, she becomes very analytical.[9]
  • Yuka owns a pet hedgehog named Tawashi (たわし).[10]. She took him home with her after visiting a hedgehog cafe.[11]
  • Yuka owns plushies of Hamtaro and Yoshi that she goes to sleep with at night.[12]
  • To prepare for voicing Rinku, Yuka will run from her home to the train station, listening to Happy Around!'s songs while she runs.[13]

  • As a voice actor that voices a non-DJ character in D4DJ franchise, she is the one of them that can perform as a DJ, along with Yura Akari.
    • However, among all active DJs in D4DJ ALL STARS, she is still unable to get a win on #D4DJ_BATTLE_TIME series.[15]
  • Yuka is the fourth voice actress to be involved with the music production in D4DJ franchise, providing the lyrics of Happiful Colorful days☆ミ.
