IXFORM was a nine-member Chinese project boy group under Idol Youth Entertainment. Formed through IQiYi's survival reality show Youth With You 3, they debuted on November 5, 2021 with the single album "Coming".
They were active for one year before officially disbanding on November 22, 2022.
History
Pre-debut: Youth With You 3
On February 18, 2021, the first episode of IQiYi's fourth installment of the Idol Producer franchise, Youth With You 3 premeired. However, due to the controversy sparked by former trainee Yu Jingtian's family's past businesses,[1] along with other cases,[2] the show, and in turn it's live finale broadcast, was cancelled. The top nine trainees, Deng Xiaoci, Duan Xingxing, Liu Guanyou, Lian Huaiwei, Liu Jun, Luo Yizhou, Sun Yihang, Sun Yinghao, and Tang Jiuzhou were revealed offline as the new boy group IXFORM.
On July 21, 2021, the nine chosen trainees made their first public appearance at the 2021 Super Music Festival in Chengdu.[3]
2021: Debut with "Coming"
On November 5, the group made their official debut with the single album "Coming" with "So Hot" as the album's main track.
2022: "Thin Line", "With You", disbandment
On July 29, they released their second single album "Thin Line".
On August 6, they held their first fanmeeting at Kunming Sports Center in Kunming, China.[4]
On November 6, their farewell digital single, "With You", was released. On November 7, each of the members wrote a graduation message prior to the dissolution of the group.[5] The same month, the graduation fan meeting scheduled to be held on November 20 in Nanjing was indefinitely postponed.[6]
