“ | I'm all packed up! - Sputnik |
” |
The vehicle known only as the Sputnik is the Soviet equivalent to the Allied Prospector.
Background
An unexpected product of a failed Soviet orbital probe project[1], the Sputnik was repurposed as a base expansion vehicle by the Soviet military. Thanks to the Sputnik, the Soviets are able to create smaller bases for easier deployment of troops or steady supply of income.
Game unit
The Sputnik is an unarmed amphibious craft, able to be produced at both the war factory and the naval yard that quickly deploys into a structure and expands the construction zone. However, it is very vulnerable, and once deployed, it cannot be packed up again.
