Genetic data from Yuri'sclones allows them to be reconfigured to serve the Allies faithfully and use their psionic abilities to dominate would-be assailants while they do the dirty work of destroying base facilities of their former master.
Deployment
The psi commando is also the only stolen tech unit in the game which is placed on an official map. In the Red Alert 2 mission Weathered Alliance, a psi commando is found in a northeastern island, next to a tech outpost.
Game unit
Psi commandos are based on Psi-Corps troopers and Navy SEALs, from which they inherit enhanced mind control abilities and C4 charges, respectively. However, they are not amphibious and are unable to create psychic blasts. An elite Psi commando possesses double the mind control range, outrange even Yuri Prime himself in Yuri's Revenge (although Yuri Prime in Red Alert 2 still has superior range).
In Red Alert 2, they can be trained after infiltrating a Soviet battle lab with a spy if the commander owns an Allied barracks. In Yuri's Revenge, they can be trained after infiltrating a Yuri battle lab.
Yuri's Revenge (released version 1.000): changed prerequisites.
Yuri's Revenge patch 1.001: in a multiplayer game, if the host loads a Yuri clone, Yuri Prime, or psi commando into a Battle Fortress, then mind-controls enemy units, then orders this Battle Fortress into a grinder and exits the game, the guests' games will no longer crash.
