Carmad was a riddling gargoyle who guarded a ghost catcher machine piece at the Puffle Hotel Balcony during the Halloween Party 2014. She asked riddles, which had to be answered by using emoticons, including the "smile" face, the "wink" face, the "sick" face, and the "sad" face. After answering all of her riddles correctly, she would slide aside to reveal an activation button for the player to use to catch ghost puffles for Skip.
Before the Halloween Party 2014, Carmad first appeared in SoundStudio, with her laugh as one of the One-Shots for the Spooky genre. In the SoundStudio App too, where her laugh also played when selecting the Spooky genre.
Her name was revealed from the tour guide description for the Puffle Hotel Balcony and in the Secrets section of issue #471 of the Club Penguin Times.
