- “Time to wake up, Chuggington!”
- ―Vee's catchphrase
Vee is the head of the railway department in Chuggington. She also serves as its main announcer.
Biography
Vee is the main announcer in Chuggington who informs the engines on what to do. She has a pole all over Chuggington and can be answered just by calling her name. It's Vee's job to make sure all the chuggers receive a lot of working experience, especially the trainees.
Vee is usually very organized, but when one delay occurs, it can mess up her entire schedule, such as the time when the track on the Yellow Line shut down[1] or when there was a diesel shortage in the Working Wheels Yard, putting all diesel-powered trains to a halt.[2]
Being one with the rest of Chuggington, Vee is powered through junction boxes. One day, Wilson gave Hodge a fright, which caused him to damage one of the bozes. This caused the whole Depot, and Vee herself, to go haywire and make irrational controls and decisions. Luckily, Eddie was able to get things in order after Hodge confessed what happened.[3]
There had been many events held by Vee: races,[4][5] ceremonies,[6] fairs,[7] parades[8] and many more. Most recently, Vee, along with Mayor Pullman, announced August 31st to be Chuggington Day, a day in which everyone appreciates what a special place Chuggington is and learns the values of "training together."[9]
Personality
Vee has the job of being the main announcer in Chuggington, meaning she needs to organize and inform the chuggers on what to do. Vee has a warm voice and has the important role of keeping Chuggington running on time and on schedule. She has loudspeaker poles placed almost everywhere, and in the depot they can be interchanged or moved around on various blue pedestals.
When Vee speaks, colourful lights flicker to the sounds of her voice. Though it is rare to see them change colours, if they do, it means Vee is feeling a powerful emotion.[10]
Vee is a motherly, caring figure with a soft spot for the trainees; always ensuring they understand her instructions and always on hand to help. This requires a great deal of patience sometimes; answering Brewster's endless questions and double-checking that Wilson is paying attention.[11] Vee is usually the first to pick up on anything going wrong - or right, for that matter, and always congratulates the trainees on a job well done.
Vee is a self-aware AI and can be stern at chuggers who misbehave,[12] but always gives them advice and teaching. There are times where Vee is stressed out when something is out of order, causing her to be tired out or overwhelmed by the responsibility of getting Chuggington back in control.[3][13] Not many people seem to realise just how much Vee cares for her job and the chuggers, but when someone does, she is filled with joy knowing that she is appreciated.[10]

Trivia
- When talking, she moves her speakers like they're hands, and as well as the head and the main body.
- The colours of her head lights can change colour when she speaks, and can also change to a colour that relates to how she is feeling as revealed in the Badge Quest episode, Who Do You Appreciate?.
- She runs on electricity. When the power is out, her model can't move freely and stands upright.
- A chugger can talk to Vee at anytime by saying 'Chugger to Vee' near one of her models.
- The model's head resembles a traffic light and her arms resemble megaphones. She also has a monitor to locate to the tunnel or seeing a badge.
- As stated in the episode The Record Breakers, Vee holds the record for the loudest announcements.
- As shown in the Badge Quest episode, Knowing Where you are Going, when Wilson enters the Ice Cream Factory, Vee gives no response as she is "located" at the Foundry. This could imply that Vee's "mind" has to be at a certain location while her other poles are unresponsive.
