Dropdown (also known as Drop Kick in the SNES/PS version) is a Double Tech used by Frog and Ayla in Chrono Trigger. It's learned once both characters learn Aerial Strike and Triple Kick respectively.
It's the third Double Tech preformed by them, and it deals massive damage to a single enemy.
Description
Firstly, Ayla kicks at the enemy dealing three consecutive kicks, two of which are hit at the sides, then Frog jumps to meet with Ayla. When the last one strikes, both Frog and Ayla comes down on the enemy with Ayla sitting on the enemy, then Frog at the bottom.
Strategy
Dropdown can be useful on enemies like Lavos Spawn and Queen Zeal in the Black Omen. This can prevent any counterattack from these bosses.
In case that the player want to save some MP and Ethers, it's recommendable to equip Ayla with the Golden Stud, wich can reduce the high MP cost of Triple Kick (one of the requiered Techs for Dropdown). But, if the player want to boost Dropdown's power, then the player just have to equip Ayla with the Prism Spectacles, and Frog with the Master's Crown (DS and Steam versions only).
