The Diablo (also known as Diablos in the SNES/PS version) is an enemy in Chrono Trigger. First appearing in Manolia Cathedral in the Middle Ages, non-offensive Diablo are encountered in Medina of the Present, worshiping a statue of Magus, and later Ozzie, in the central square of the city. They wear menacing scowls upon their faces. Before engaging in battle, the Diablo sometimes "spin" into action, twirling around on one foot. Often, Naga, Underling, Viper, and Vampire Bats accompany them in battle.
Name Etymology
"Diablo" means "devil" in Spanish. Judging by the demonic appearance of this enemy, the name is fitting.
