A counter is a retaliatory strike by an enemy or party member upon being struck. It can take the form of a physical attack or the use of a Tech on the attacker, a random opponent, or the entire group. Certain, high-power techniques are used upon an enemy's defeat. The Rage Band, Wrath Band, and Valor Crest accessories give the wearer a chance of countering an enemy attack using the regular "Attack" command.
