Invisibility is the ability to make oneself unable to be seen by other beings.
Description
Invisibility allows a person to become impossible to be seen by the naked eye. It can work as a means of protection as well as an offensive method where the opponent cannot see an upcoming attack.
For certain species, being invisible to mortals and other supernatural creatures is their natural state of being. Therefore it doesn't take any effort to be invisible. In addition, they cannot be easily heard by others.
Examples
Natural State
Fairies and trolls are naturally invisible to adults and only visibly to children of a certain age until they stop believing.[1]
Spirits are also naturally invisible to humans and certain demons but can be seen by witches, some demons, and angels.
Power
The demon Troxa could turn invisible, but he possessed one weakness. He could be made partially visible in cold temperatures due to his sensitivity to coldness.[2]
In 2002, Bacarra's future counterpart used a spell to make an invisible witch visible so that his present counterpart could capture her.[3]
Vicus was a demon who showed great skill at using this power; he was able to make himself invisible to everyone but Wyatt in late 2004.[4]
This is a common power among the Elders. While being hunted by the Titans in the Heavens, Leo was able to make himself invisible while he was in the process of becoming an Elder.[5] He also became invisible to spy on Chris.[6]
Certain users of Astral Projection can project an invisible astral form. Rex Buckland used this ability to manipulate Prue.[7] Barbas used it to manipulate the sisters.[8]
Spells and Potions
Phoebe was once victim to a hex that Cole placed on her face cream to make her face develop pimples overnight. When Paige tried to make the pimples vanish with the Vanishing Spell, it collided with Cole's magic and made Phoebe completely invisible on her wedding day. To help save her wedding, Paige cast another spell to shift the invisibility to her instead.[9]
In early 2003, Paige invented a potion that made her invisible and partially intangible in her endeavor to vanquish Cole alone instead of relying on the Power of Three all the time.[10]
