Amut is an Egyptian goddess with the body of a half lion, half hippocampus, and a crocodile head. Her role is to eat the hearts of unworthy souls when they fail to pass the final test to enter the peaceful realm of the dead.
History
Tipket sent Paige Matthews to the Duat after Tyler Carlson died of demonic poison. Paige was guilt-stricken by his death, and Tipket sent her there to witness the gods' test on Tyler's soul to relieve her guilt so that she may concentrate on stopping the evil sorceress Hoptith. Ammut was present when the gods were testing Tyler's worth and ultimately passing.
