Yup, my spunk's my calling card! Some people call me Nikoniko, but you can call me Niko, Niko Komamura!
— Niko Komamura

Niko Komamura is a first-year student at Tatefushi Academy senior high school. She is the final member to join the Go-Home Club.

Appearance

Niko has short, dark-pink hair adorned with a blue headband. She wears a short black mini-skirt, and a white pull-over on top of her Tatefushi Academy uniform. Blue and red stripes are visible on her collar, sleeves, and shoes.

During her Catharsis Effect, she has several white, flaccid anemones that sprout from her chest. On her backside, a black, humanoid figure clings to her, with its multiple hands wrapping around the front side of her body. One set of its arms covers her mouth, while the other set pulls at her stomach. Moreover, the latter set of arms holds a gold ring directly above her abdomen. The humanoid figure's appendages are adorned with gold jewelry — specifically numerous rings and a set of handcuffs. Her weapon is a large, black chakram with a floral pattern within its inner ring.

Personality

A bright and simple-minded girl. The optimistic type with a glow in her eyes who will interact with anyone and everyone with the goal of having more and more friends. Despite her proactiveness, she is not very skillful or good at contemplating or theorizing difficult things and she often goes in circles.

Profile

Normal: "Niko Komamura here! All smiles, all the time✰"

A naive and cheerful girl who aims to make friends with everyone she meets. Zealously amicable, she can and will get overly familiar with others in an instant, eyes aglitter. Complex matters and logic baffle her, and her ditziness makes her an easy target for teasing.

Deep Dive: "Why did you have to find me?"

An elder twin impersonating her deceased younger sister. Her parents, unable to move on, began to call her Niko, and fell apart when she asserted herself as Iori. She regrets not pretending to be Niko for the sake of keeping her family together.

Niko — specifically Iori — parallels Kudan, as the both of them regret their actions that caused a schism in their families. Iori desperately wished she masqueraded as her deceased sister to maintain her parents' happiness, while Kudan wished she abode by her families rules and did not haphazardly rush to her father's defense.

This parallel creates a largely one-sided antagonism on Iori's behalf, as she proclaimed her overwhelming disdain for Kudan during their battle at AMORE. Although she primarily belittled and ridiculed the Go-Home Club, Kudan had a fondness for Iori, and saved her life after the musician's defeat. Furthermore, she reminisced of how Iori reminded her of her own father.

Catharsis Effect

Niko experienced her Catharsis Effect after her initial encounter with Machina at the school festival. She swiftly realized the world was an illusion, which immediately sent her into a panic. Before she experienced any further distress, however, the Go-Home Club came to her rescue.

Her combat style primarily focuses on support, with a variety of buffs and recovery skills in her arsenal. Her weapon is capable of long range and wide area-of-effect attacks, and can set traps for her adversaries as well.

Niko's flower is a flaccid anemone or soft windflower, which characteristically has two flower sprouts protruding from a single stem. The flower is toxic in nature, but carries the meaning of "I will never leave."[1] Additionally, white windflowers traditionally represent the loss of a loved one, and are used for mourning and funerals.
