Zanth is a teal-colored dragon ridden by Sora in the Ninjago theme.

History

Using the power to travel between worlds inherent to many dragons, Zanth made her way from her native Djinjago to Imperium, where she unfortunately fell into captivity and was subsequently transported to the Advanced Systems Lab. Within the lab, she was designated as Subject 152 stroke 9A, though some technicians referred to her by the name Sora. This name meant "orphan" in the Imperium language, making it a fitting designation for a dragon whose home realm had ceased to exist. Perhaps aware of this fact, Zanth ceased to resist her captors, a fact that Dr. LaRow took note of.

Ana, a young prodigy, later met Zanth in the Advanced Systems Lab and took pity on the captive dragon. Unlike her fellow Imperium natives, she saw Zanth as the beautiful living creature that she was rather than a mere power source. After seeing Zanth tortured by having her energy extracted, Ana refused to collaborate with Imperium's leadership any longer. She subsequently fled her homeland after the Merge and took the name Sora in honor of the enslaved dragon and, no doubt, in token of her own feelings of being without family or home.
