As Red Drakes are often partnered up with their counterpart, Ice Drakes, it makes for a dangerous combination of fire and ice. Having the Rings of Fire/Ice equipped helps keep their breath attacks, which is their preferred attacking techniques, at bay, but getting duplicates of said Rings isn't easy. Stealing the respective Ring from each one can help bolster your defenses against them, but the party has to act fast to do so. The key to defeating them is to whittle their HP down as fast as possible with group-based attacks, so that their breath attacks won't do as much damage. Attacks like Lightning and Typhoon are very helpful in weakening them, as using fire or ice attacks like Inferno or Blizzard won't work as well. The Trygon dragon form is very useful here, as it's naturally resistant to both fire and ice, thereby nullifying both breath attacks, making it a valuable fighter against them.
