BE:1

BE:1 is the first full length album from BE:FIRST. It released on August 31, 2022 in four editions: BMSG Music Shop Limited Edition, a version with the CD and 2 DVD or Blu-ray discs, a version with the CD and one DVD or Blu-ray, and a standard CD-only version.
The DVD / Blu-ray content included footage from their second one man live, "Bye-Good-Bye" One Day One Man Show, as well as all the Music Videos released to date.
This album features 15 songs total, of which 7 are previously released songs (although 3 of them are re-recorded) and 8 newly recorded tracks.

Background and release

On June 24, 2022, the BE:FIRST TV Twitter account teased that the group had a big announcement to make during the June 25 episode. ^[1] The boys appeared with their new hair styles and announced that they would be releasing their first album on August 31, and that they would be promoting it during their first tour, BE:FIRST 1st One Man Tour “BE:1” 2022-2023.
On July 21, a Twitter icon-jacking campaign called "BE:1 is coming up" was held to reveal the name and release date of the lead track of the album, Scream, which was released on July 25. The same day, the full tracklist for the album was revealed, and the song credits were revealed on July 31.
On August 1, Be Free was pre-released digitally. This started a month of consecutive releases every week, where all THE FIRST related tracks (Move On and Shining One re-recorded) were pre-released ahead of the album's release on August 31.
On August 12, BF is... was pre-released in celebration of BE:FIRST's performance at the ROCK IN JAPAN FES. 2022, as well as the group's first anniversary.

On August 28, a Spotify Liner Voice+ special was released, where the group and SKY-HI discuss the album in depth. On August 30, a special program, "M-ON! SPECIAL 「BE:FIRST」 ～BE:1～", was aired on M-ON! to commemorate the release of the album. ^[2]
On August 30, the group held an AWA Lounge event to promote the album. ^[3]

Some billboards with the album's promotional visuals were up on five different cities across Japan during the week of release. ^[4]

To celebrate the release of the album, BE:FIRST and SHIBUYA TSUTAYA opened a special collaboration cafe "BE:FIRST CAFE at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA" from August 30 to September 19. The members curated the menu, the place was decorated with billboards and some costumes on display and clients would get a member coaster as a souvenir, which could be autographed by the members. Original goods were also on sale. ^[5].

The album was chosen as the August 2022 Monthly Push in FM Hiroshima's "Satoruman50 ~Han Seiki Shonen Music Show~".

Each edition of the album came with a lottery ticket code, valid to apply for one of the following prizes:

• Prize A: Invitation to BE:FIRST 1st One Man Tour “BE:1” 2022-2023 rehearsal. A total of 11 performances were elegible, and 30 people would be invited per performance for a total of 330.
