Sarado 「サラード Sarādo」 is a Spirit Guardian of the Heart Kingdom.[1][2]
Appearance
Sarado is a short woman with medium-length, dark brown hair and a muscular build.
Personality
Sarado is a good spirited woman. She is not very good at explaining things, as she tends to try describing feelings, using words such as "whoosh" and "pow", rather than actually explaining the details.[2]
Biography
Sarado is assigned to train Charlotte Roselei and Mimosa Vermillion after the Clover and Heart Kingdoms form an alliance against the Spade Kingdom. She trains them in a field and begins by explaining that plants grow from the earth, and that to strengthen their plant-based attributes, they should start with the soil. Sarado decides to give them a demonstration by raising three spiked earth pillars and sending them at the Clover mages. The earth spikes stop just short of hitting them before disappearing. Sarado explains that no matter what the mages' attribute, they have to be in tune with nature. Charlotte and Mimosa question how it works. Sarado tries to explain by describing the feelings she feels when it happens, but this only confuses her new pupils.[2]

Six months after the Spirit Guardians train some Magic Knights, Vanica Zogratis and five Dark Disciples attack the Heart Kingdom, and Sarado is defeated by Hischer Ongg.[3] Gadjah races over and defeats Hischer with ease, which reminds Sarado of how much more powerful Gadjah is compared to the other Spirit Guardians.[4]
Several days later, Sarado and others travel to the Spade Kingdom's capital in order to help stop the Qliphoth Advent Ritual.[5] They use True Magic attacks to decimate the horde of low-ranked devils.[6] The Spirit Guardians (except Gadjah) remain at the front gate and continue fighting the endless hordes of devils.[7]
Mereoleona Vermillion joins the Spirit Guardians after she destroys the demon.[8] Shortly after, however, the second gate of the underworld opens and all of the devils' bodies are merged into a giant monstrous form for Lucifero. The Spirit Guardians and the Resistance members are then pinned to ground by Gravity Magic.[9] When one of Lucifero's tentacles threatens to crush the mages pinned down, Mereoleona and Fuegoleon Vermillion then combine their magic to stop it.[10]
After Asta and Liebe bisect the monster and destroy the Ritual, everyone is freed from the gravity.[11] When half of the monster begins falling toward where the Spirit Guardians and the Resistance members are, Yuno Grinberryall destroys the section, saving them.[12] Lucifero then compresses the monster's remains into a body, through which he manifests in a half-complete form. He forces the humans to prostrate themselves before him.[13]
