Play Tickets

Sprite of the Play Tickets against a black background. The tickets consist of three sheets of wrinkled orange leather stacked at slight diagonals to one another. Each sheet has large red lettering at its top. The lettering on the uppermost sheet reads "Isten" in uppercase letters

Play Tickets are documents required to enter the Ampitheater north of Isten in Betrayal in Antara. There are two Play Tickets available in the game, though only one is required to advance the plot.

Overview

Play Tickets occupy one Inventory space and are not stackable. They must be presented at the booth outside the Isten Amphitheater in order for the party to enter and speak to Maria Liana.

One set of Tickets can be found in a bead chest just south of town. The party can learn that the chest was stolen from a talkative woman in Isten, but are not able to return the tickets to her. The other set of tickets can be obtained from Lord Lighton at the Backstage Club; he usually reserves his tickets for his friends and debtors, but if the party can beat him at gambling until he runs out of funds, he can be persuaded to stake a pair of tickets which they can win.

Description

The hard leather strips branded with the amphitheater's name would undoubtedly be reused upon collection at the front gate. These tickets were for the current performance of "Academy of Broken Hearts" starring Gerald Vardese and Maria Liana.

Trivia

  • Except for the red lettering, the sprite for the Play Tickets is identical to that of Farmer Brunia's Deed. The "N" barely visible on the lower two sheets suggest that the sprite for the Tickets were modified to create the Deed.
