Decimus Prime

Decimus Prime is the Omnitrix's CNA sample of a Cybertronian from the planet Cybertron. He is exclusive to Ben Prime's dimension.^{[note 1]}

Appearance

Decimus is a large green robotic humanoid with black stripes and white trimmings all over his body, gray upper arms and legs, a slight chin on his face, a green visor covering his eyes, two rods sticking out of his back, exhaust pipes sticking out of his arms, and tires on his shoulders and legs. He bears a large Omnitrix logo on his chest with the real one in the middle.

He can assume the form of a green sports car with a white bumper, grille, hood bonnet and side skirts, a small green spoiler, and the number 10 emblazoned on both doors.

Powers and Abilities

Like all Cybertronians, Decimus is able to transform into an alternate mode, with his in particular being a land vehicle. This form allows increased mobility as well as stealth, letting him move quicker or disguise himself as unassuming machinery. With the necessary equipment, Decimus can alter his form and appearance by scanning a different vehicle.

Decimus has some type of energy melee weapon.^{[DJW 2]}

Because he does not need to breathe, Decimus can survive underwater and in the vacuum of space.

Weaknesses

Decimus is vulnerable to unnatural uberpredators, such as Unicron and Primacron.^{[DJW 3]}

Decimus is vulnerable to being possessed by Ectonurites.^{[DJW 4]}

Decimus is vulnerable to having his body dismantled by Planchaküles.^{[DJW 5]}

Decimus like any other Cybertronian, is vulnerable to Cosmic Rust.^{[DJW 6]}

Etymology

"Decimus" is from decimal, a mathematical term for "tenth". "Prime" is a recurring rank seen in various Transformers continuities, primarily used by the Autobot leader Optimus Prime.

Trivia

Decimus Prime's artwork was made on a livestream with Derrick J. Wyatt and Josh Perez in 2020 as a nod to Derrick's work with Marty Isenberg and others on Transformers: Animated.
- Decimus' robot mode is a recolor and slight alteration of the form Upgrade assumes while merged with Kevin Levin's original car in OTTO Motives.^{[ms 1]}
- Decimus' vehicle mode is a recolor of a background car in various episodes of Animated.^{[ms 2]}
Decimus Prime has been confirmed to not be a Triple Changer because of how it can drive Cybertronians within the realm of Animated mentally insane.^{[DJW 7]}
- Derrick previously stated this inevitability was the reason Blitzwing has three separate faces with their own personalities.^{[DJW 8]}
- Decimus could probably avoid going insane from if he were to merge with a Galvanic Mechamorph and be upgraded into a Triple Changer.^{[DJW 9]}
Because he is not exactly a natural lifeform, Decimus does not have a natural predator.^{[DJW 3]} For example, Archa 7 spiders are not considered a natural predator to Cybetronians.^{[DJW 10]}
Unlike Upchuck, Ben cannot transform into different variants of Decimus.^{[DJW 11]}
In the Transformers franchise, Vector Prime speculates that the Malgus universes may have interacted with the Ben 10 universe at some time through the wider cosmos. This explains why Khyber has trophies of Lockdown's hook and Grimlock's flaming sword in his ship.^{[AVP 1]}
- Derrick J. Wyatt confirmed that this is indeed the explanation of the easter egg.^{[DJW 12]}
A hypothetical Ultimate Form of Decimus Prime would resemble a GodBomber from the Transformers franchise.^{[DJW 13]}
