Submission (サブ・ミッション, Sabu Misshon) is a fighting move that Baki Hanma quite often used against his opponents. The Submission technique is more precisely the armlock move, but in the Baki series, it was called just the "Submission".
Description
At first, the user grabs the opponent's arm, and then he slams him into the ground. The fighter puts his right leg on the opponent's neck, and he keeps a balance with the other leg. With this move, the user can easly break his opponent's arm. Later in the series, various fighters used this armlock technique in some different ways as well.
Baki Hanma used this technique during a battle with Koushou Shinogi for the first time. Then he used this move against Mount Toba, but he failed due to the wrestler's greater strength. Baki also made an improved and stronger version of this move. That improved version is called the Tiger King.
In the first season of the anime, the Armlock technique was also used by Atsushi Suedou during his quick match against Kiyosumi Katou, but that scene doesn't appear in the manga. During the Maximum Tournament Saga, Roland Istaz used this technique against Katsumi Orochi. Also, Kengo Misaki used his own submission hold against Mike Quinn at the tournament. Kaiou Jaku used this move in his fight with Kaiou Chin by dislocating his shoulder. In the newest Baki Dou series, Taketsurugi used his armlock hold to break Doppo Orochi's arm. Izou Motobe has also used this technique in his fights against Yuujirou Hanma in the first series, and later against Kaiou Retsu or Jack Hanma.
