Kengo Misaki (三崎 健吾, Misaki Kengo) is a fictional character from the Baki the Grappler anime and manga series. He is a Shorinji Kempo user who took part in the Maximum Tournament.

Personality

Kengo is a man with a calm personality, even when he is fighting or in trouble. As a monk, Kengo avoids seriously damaging his enemies, using submission techniques and giving them the option to surrender, as happened with Mike Quinn. Likewise, if his enemy is very strong he will have no problem using lethal techniques such as stomp or stabbing his throat, as happened to Jack Hanma.

Appearance

Kengo is a short man with a slim build and shaved head. Both inside and outside the ring he wears a white and blue Kasaya (the robes of Buddhist monks), he appears barefoot in all his appearances.

Baki the Grappler

Maximum Tournament Saga

He was invited to the Underground Arena as one of the 36 fighters of the Maximum Tournament.

In the first round, he fight Mike Quinn whom he beat using an Armlock to make him surrender. In the second round, he fights Jack Hammer who beat Kengo after biting off many pieces of skin, causing him to collapse from blood loss.

In the manga, appears at the end of the tournament congratulating along with the rest of the fighters to Baki Hanma for winning the final match.

His whereabouts and current status is unknown.

Abilities

Kengo Misaki is a strong fighter who uses Shorinji Kempo. He could easily defeat a famous pro wrestler Mike Quinn with an armlock. But he was unable to defeat Jack Hanma who could easily withstand Kengo's attacks. Jack bite his wrist and ankle off, and then he defeated him with a few punches.
