The Topps Company, Inc. is an American manufacturer of chewing gum, candy and collectibles based in New York City. It was founded in 1938 by brothers Abram Shorin, Ira Shorin, Philip Shorin and Joseph Shorin. Topps is perhaps best known as a leading producer of basketball cards, football cards, baseball cards, hockey cards and other sports and non-sports themed trading cards. The company has produced a number of trading cards based on the Alien and Predator franchises.
