Tamar Prather was a spy hired by the Venture Corporation to pose as a pirate in order to gain information and acquire valuable stolen loot, Tamar discovered the lone Xenomorph egg in that was hidden in storage in the Captain's quarters. Upon discovering the item, she killed her companion Juan in cold blood as she didn't want any of her companions to know what she suspected to be in the storage container.
Tamar was later killed due to her own actions in trying to get a Necromorph sample.
Events of Prototype
Tamar posed as a pirate aboard The Manticore for seventeen months waiting to discover anything useful and valuable. After the pirates of The Manticore raided the Proximo, she discovered a high tech storage unit that she suspected to be of Weyland-Yutani design, she had murdered the Juan, the captain of the manticore and found the storage unit hidden in the Proximo's Captain's quarters.
While trying to escape with the storage unit, she was confronted by Kenyatta and Sid, who were told by Juan to stop her if she tried to betray them as had suspected her of being a spy.
After escaping in The Manticore and going to Jericho 3, Tamar accompanied Aleta Fuentus to the labs to see Gagnon and find out what was in the storage unit, as she suspected, it was an Ovomorph and after a brief discussion with the others, she left.
Sometime later, Tamar was playing a card game with some three security officers when they become alerted to a message on their comms regarding two dead bodies.
Tamar then briefly teamed up with Brigette and Gagnon to try and capture the Necromorph but it ended disastrously as the vaccine has no effect on either the Necromorph or Gagnon, who had injected himself and Tamar as a precaution. Both Gagnon and Brigette end up being severely hurt with Gagnon commiting suicide due to infection.
Tamar was saved by Zula Hendricks and her trainees, together they managed to navigate the buildings with only one member of the group getting infected. The group manages to find the Necromorph back at its initial killing ground and they successfully manage to overwhelm it with gunfire, causing it to be unable to choose which target to go after.
Around this time Tamar had been trying to get a sample so she could get money, she had successfully shot a tooth off from the Necromorph and out of greed, she purposefully bumped into Brenna, one of the trainees, so that she would be knocked towards the Necromoph and killed. The "accident " done was to provide a distraction for her to grab the tooth and leave the others to deal with the Necromorph.
Unfortunately for Tamar the tooth was still highly acidic and had melted to her hand when she grabbed it, she also contracted cellular necrosis from it and attempted to escape via an airlock, before she succumbed to the disease, she was killed by the Necromorph on the surface of Jericho 3.
Description
Tamar was six and a half feet tall with a lean but muscular build, she had short blonde hair for practical reasons.
Personality
Tamar was a ruthless spy who would kill without hesitation, she had a highly mercenary outlook on life and didn't care so long as she got paid, Tamar also considered going to other corporations in hopes of higher payment than she got from Venture, showing she had no loyalty.
Tamar cared nothing for the people that died or were going to die in her attempt to get a sample from the Necromorph, going so far as to be directly responsible for killing Brenna by bumping her closer to the Necromorph. Despite these dominant-negative traits, she did prefer not to kill if she could avoid it, especially if she was familiar with them and she did feel slightly regrettable by what happened to Brigette, she also respected Zula. Despite any humanity she might have had, her greed easily overshadowed it.
