Juan Verela was the captain of the pirate vessel Manticore.
Biography
Juan accompanied Tamar in their search of the ship Proximo, but he was murdered by Tamar when she discovered a Weyland-Yutani storage container. Other than these brief details and his apparent love for stasis pods, claiming that usually means there is something valuable within them, nothing much is known about him. The pirates Sid and Kenyatta mentioned that Juan had been having doubts about Tamar for weeks due to her lack of interest in raiding a ship full of fresh produce, which has tipped them off about her as pirates considered fresh produce to be valuable. Prior to his death, Juan had apparently ordered them to stop by any means they see fit.
Physical description
Juan was described as a large male, with a shaved head and black goatee. He also favored wearing old vintage leather jackets.
