William Gary Busey (born June 29, 1944), known professionally as Gary Busey, is an Academy Award-nominated American actor, voice actor, film producer, composer and musician who played Keyes in the 1990 film Predator 2. Gary is the father of The Predator actor Jake Busey. He is perhaps best-known for playing the title character in the biographical musical drama film The Buddy Holly Story (1978). Other notable films Busey has appeared in include Lethal Weapon (1987), Point Break (1991), Under Siege (1992) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). Aside from his work in film, Busey has had an extensive career in television.
Busey has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor (for The Buddy Holly Story) and has won a BAFTA.
