Australia was a country on Earth and a member state of the Three World Empire. In 2172, Australia was hit by food shortages, which led to an uprising against the 3WE dubbed the Australia Wars.
History
1.6 billion years ago Xenomorphs roamed Australia's Great Desert. Their traces were later found in 2116.[1]
After a year spent being hunted by Predators on the Game Preserve Planet, Isabelle managed to escape by hijacking a Predator ship and set a course back to Earth, landing in the Australian desert, where she was rescued by the newly reestablished Other Worldly Life Forms Program.[2]
In 2182, Australia suffered a massive food shortage, and led an uprising against the Three World Empire that ended with a nuclear strike on Canberra.[3]
According to one account, the USM Auriga crash landed in Australia[4] instead of Africa.[5]
