The Bałwan (Russian: идол; Ukrainian: iдол) is an interactive object in ATOM RPG.

Description

The wooden idol is a totem pole located in the Roaring Forest. It features a Norse-looking man holding a hammer over an anvil. In front of the Bałwan is a circle of stones.

Location

Roaring Forest, eastern part of the location.

Interactions

1. Examine
2. Knock on the Bałwan
3. Provide Sacrifice
   • Place 3 meat in the circle in front of the wooden idol to receive its blessing (+1 Luck). The option doesn't appear in the dialogue box. You need to drop 3 pieces of meat from your inventory while standing in the stone circle. Steam: awards the "Sacrifice" achievement.
4. Carve an obscene word
   • Do not carve the obscene word into the idol if you want to survive (otherwise, an instant flash in the sky... and Cadet loses 220 health points). If Cadet doesn't value his own life, he can use a knife (rusty, sharpened, army, folding), a shiv, and an axe for vandalism. The option to carve obscene words into the idol is lost when you sacrifice 3 meat.
