Seiun (清雲^?) is one of the protagonists in Tales of Commons. He is the captain of the Bloom Imperial Brigade of Yinfouyang (ユンファヤング, Yunfayangu^?). He seeks a way for Gillfxies, humans, nature and technology to coexist. Previously partnered with Ferth and Kinah, it is during a solo mission that he rescues Alvin and Sefina and the three of them decide to journey together.

Appearance and Personality

Seiun is a middle-aged man dressed in a typical samurai outfit. He wears a black hat adorned with golden designs on top of his short black hair, the end tied by a small red ribbon forming a ponytail. His outfit is composed of a green robe with layered patterns and black trim, complemented by a red sash around his waist, and the shoulders also feature straps with red strings holding his sleeves. Underneath the robe is a brown and green pleated garment with geometric patterns. At his waist, Seiun carries two swords wrapped in red strings. Finally, his legs are covered with green leggings, fastened with red bands. His footwear is composed of black shoes with gold accents.

Seiun is a loyal person. He is polite and mature but can also be stubborn. He often serves as a guardian to the group, especially with Alvin and Sefina having conflicted opinions. His hobby is memorizing young, trendy phrases, and he dislikes machines and heights. He also has trouble understanding You whose personality clashes with his.

Fighting Style

Seiun is a skilled swordsman who fights using twin katanas. His artes are a mix between close-quarter combat where he assails his foes and projectile uses such as Speed Arrow and Chaos Edge. He can also use Gale Fang a move that unlike its later appearance in Tales of Xillia, acts as an healing arte that heals allies and cures ailments.
