Michael Yo

Michael Yo was a comedian from Season 15 of America's Got Talent.  He was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Background

Bonafide Blasian (Black and Asian), Michael Yo was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Being mixed raced in the ‘80s, Michael loved standing out in a crowd and made friends by making people laugh. After years of being an entertainment reporter who reported on other people's dreams, Michael took to the stage to realize his own dream of becoming a stand-up comedian. When he is not on stage, Michael is soaking up the joys of marriage to his supportive wife and of fatherhood to his young son and daughter.

Audition

Michael Yo's audition in Episode 1506 consisted of telling jokes about getting old. Howie Mandel, Eric Stonestreet, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending him to the next round.

Judge Cuts

Michael Yo automatically advanced to the Quarterfinals without performing in Episode 1508.

Quarterfinals

Michael Yo's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1509 consisted of performing a stand-up routine including jokes about rules learned in the delivery room when his wife had a baby and how he would die for his wife. Michael did not receive enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1510, eliminating him from the competition along with Bello & Annaliese Nock instead of Archie Williams.
