Description
The Motion Sensor is a new tool added in A16 as a part of the new Electricity game mechanics.
The Motion Sensor triggers the flow of power to children components when a player or zombie is in its view. While holding a wire tool, the motion sensor's field of vision is visible to the player as a yellow cone. When a player is within the field of view, the motion sensor will follow them like a security camera. As soon as a player steps out of the field of view, the camera snaps back to its default forward orientation.
It can detect entities up to 15 blocks away.

The recipe above contains the Resources needed to craft the Motion Sensor for each level of the Advanced Engineering Perk.
A higher level in the associated perk will decrease the crafting cost, saving resources.
Uses
Like the Auto Turret or Shotgun Auto Turret, the Motion Sensor can be set to target Self, Allies, Strangers, and/or Enemies. As such, the sensor can be used for the automation of some circuitry so long as a player is within view of the sensor. For example, players can set up an automated light system in their base that turns on when the player enters the view of the sensor. Alternatively, it could be used to target zombies only, activating weapons like the Blade Trap, or even supplying power to an auto turret.
Motion sensors can be used as somewhat complex logic gates when building circuits. For example, one could connect a turret to the sensor with the turret set to target enemies, but the sensor set to target the player. This way, the turret won't function unless a player is in view of the motion sensor, allowing a base to remain dormant when players are away to conserve ammunition.
Also like the auto turret, the angle of the motion sensor's field of view can be set by holding interact button and moving the view. To move the view, you should double-click on it.
