Description
An Engine is a type of resource in 7 Days to Die. It can be used to craft an Auger, a Chainsaw, or it can be used as a part for any of the vehicles and the Cement Mixer. Engines are also used to power the Generator Bank, which can contain to up to 6 of them. Engines can be looted from Working Stiffs Crates, and from Sedans when dismantling them with a Wrench. It is also a rare drop from Lumberjack zombies. Chances are high to find some in bus or trucks.
Can be scrapped, which results in 30 Mechanical Parts.
Item quality
Engines no longer have quality levels.
In previous versions, the Quality of an engine affected the overall speed of a Minibike. For example, a Minibike with a 'Faulty' engine would travel much slower than a Minibike with a 'Flawless' engine. Additionally, the item quality of an engine affected the efficiency of an Auger or Chainsaw.
In previous versions, when an engine was used in the Generator Bank, the engine's quality would determine the maximum power output of the generator bank. Now, all Engines add 50W to the maximum power output of a Generator Bank.
