- In this season, the show introduces and covers the life of a brown hyena named Zig, a female mermaid named Marina, a shark named Sharko and hermit crab named Bernie.

Marina accidentally gets her hair cut too short, and suggests that Zig's fur is perfect to put together a wig for her. Zig's sudden ambition to become a racing champion leads to a thrilling car race between the animals! |

- This season will be repeated again in the third season.
- This is the only season to use the old style Pilot animation (digital ink-and-paint). Starting with Season 2, the episodes are animated with Adobe Flash.
- For unknown reasons, this season does not show up on Netflix.
