Winders appear in various Dark World Dungeons in A Link to the Past. Their movement is unpredictable, as they change directions randomly whenever they hit an object.

The Minish Cap

Winders appear in various Dungeons in The Minish Cap. They can set fire to Link if touched.

Phantom Hourglass

Winders are electrically charged and travel along walls in Phantom Hourglass. Touching one will shock and damage Link.

Spirit Tracks

Winders can be defeated by firing an Arrow at their heads in Spirit Tracks. They can also damage Heatoises, as they are weak against electricity.

Notes

  1. Winders were referred to as Firewinders in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap — The Official Nintendo Player's Guide by Nintendo Power.[3] However, as this contradicts the name given in Encyclopedia, it is not considered Canon.
  2. Winders are referred to as Moldolas in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks — PRIMA Official Game Guide by Prima Games.[4] However, because Winder's name was officially stated in Encyclopedia, this name is no longer considered Canon.
