Statue

Statues are recurring objects in The Legend of Zelda series.^[1][2]

Overview

While many Statues are simply decorative, some are able to be moved or destroyed by Link in a variety of ways in order to press Switches or open new pathways. Other Statues are capable of autonomous movement and serve as Enemies.

There are also a number of specific and notable Statues in the series.

A Link to the Past

In the remake of A Link to the Past & Four Swords, three Carver's Statues appear as rewards during the Lumberjack's Riddles. Additionally, the Gargoyle Statue serves as the entrance to Thieves' Town.

Link's Awakening

In Link's Awakening, the Mermaid Statue covers a Cave containing the Magnifying Glass. Additionally, Owl Statues appear throughout Koholint Island.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, Owl Statues are used in conjunction with the "Song of Soaring" to transport Link across Termina, and to Save. In Majora's Mask 3D, similar objects called Quill Statue also appear.

Oracle of Seasons

In Oracle of Seasons, Mystery Seeds can be given to Owl Stones in exchange for advice on nearby puzzles.

Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Ages, Mystery Seeds can be given to Owl Statues in exchange for advice on nearby puzzles. Additionally, various Link Statue appear in Lynna City after Link defeats Veran.

In The Wind Waker, Tingle Statues appear in Dungeons when certain spots are Bombed. Additionally, a Link Statue appears in Hyrule Castle.

The Minish Cap

In The Minish Cap, there are three Mysterious Statues in Castor Wilds with whom Link can Fuse golden Kinstone Pieces. Statues resembling Minister Potho appear outside Funday School, with one inside being movable to access a portion of the Hyrule Underground.

A number of Statues appear in Dungeons to assist in solve puzzles, or to serve as decoration. In Dark Hyrule Castle, there are a number of Stone Statues that hinder Link's progress, and can only be destroyed by reflecting their own cannonballs back at them.

Twilight Princess

In Twilight Princess, Link can use the Dominion Rod to control Mechanical Statues and Horned Statuettes. Statues are important in Link's quest to help Ilia; six Owl Statues hold the missing characters from the Ancient Sky Book, and the Wooden Statue is an Item used to restore Ilia's memory.

A Link Statue depicting Wolf Link and Midna also appears at the final floor of the Cave of Shadows.

Phantom Hourglass

In Phantom Hourglass, Tribal Head Statue appear as parts of various puzzles.

Spirit Tracks

In Spirit Tracks, Tribal Head Statue appear as parts of various puzzles.

Skyward Sword

In Skyward Sword, Bird Statues are used to Save and return to the Sky.

Tri Force Heroes

In Tri Force Heroes, the Tri Force Hero Statue allows the Links to Save. The Serpent's Toga also allows them to temporarily transform into a Statue.
