Sneakstrikes are recurring abilities in The Legend of Zelda Series.[1]
Breath of the Wild
Sneakstrikes can be performed by sneaking behind an enemy and attacking it while it is unaware of Link's presence. Another way of performing a sneakstrike is by attacking a sleeping enemy. Successfully executing a Sneakstrike will deal 8 times the damage by Link's equipped melee weapon.[2]
Tears of the Kingdom
A new method included involves striking a Puff Shroom (even if the enemy all ready knows of your presence), causing a cloud of white fog to appear. In the fog, one can then run around the enemy and strike from behind (it appears as though sneaking is not necessary).[3]
