Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon and the mascot of the Pokémon franchise. He resembles a yellow mouse with a jagged tail and red cheeks. He attacks both physically and with electric power it stores in his cheeks.
While it has not appeared in any of The Legend of Zelda games, the Keaton Mask does have a vague resemblance to Pikachu (namely the primarily yellow color with black-tipped ears), with the Death Mountain Trail Gatekeeper alluding to Keaton being popular with kids as an indirect reference to Pikachu's popularity.
In addition, Pikachu does appear as a playable character in every game of the Super Smash Bros. series. Starting as one of the twelve playable characters in Super Smash Bros., Pikachu returns in every sequel henceforth: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
