Marot is a character in Breath of the Wild.[2]
Biography
Marot is a young Zora woman who resides in Zora's Domain. She is the proprietor of Marot Mart, which includes the Coral Reef General Store and the Hammerhead.[3] The latter of those businesses is operated by her grandfather, Dento.[1]
As Link passes by Marot, she will welcome him to Marot Mart.[4] When he speaks to her, she will explain the services that Marot Mart provides.[3] After this introduction, she will ask if there is something else that Link needs.[5][6][7] If Link asks about Marot Mart, Marot claims that it refers to the combination of the Coral Reef and the Hammerhead.[8] She then proceeds to sing the jingle for Marot Mart, which she considers to be cute.[9] Should Link ask about Marot Mart a second time, she will repeat the theme song for him.[10]
If asked about the Coral Reef, Marot informs him that is has been in business for more than 100 years.[11] She describes its proprietor, Cleff, as a serious individual, but she is amused that his sister Tona is in love with Sidon.[12] Finally, if Link inquires about the Hammerhead, Marot reveals that her grandfather is in charge of it.[1] She claims that he was responsible for fixing the Lightscale Trident, which once belonged to Mipha.[13]
