— The Gerudo Warror after Link frees all the carpenters. |
The Gerudo Warrior is a Gerudo character in Ocarina of Time.[1]
Biography
The Gerudo Warrior appears in the Gerudo's Fortress after Link, defeats all of the four Gerudo Thieves to rescue the Carpenters. While Nabooru is away at the Spirit Temple, she leaves this Gerudo in charge of the Gerudo's Fortress, making her technically the third-in-command of the Gerudo race, behind Nabooru and Ganondorf himself.[2] After Link frees all the Carpenters, the Gerudo Warrior appears to compliment him on accomplishing such a task and rewards him with the Gerudo Token,[2] which allows the Hero of Time to walk about freely in the Gerudo's Fortress and access the Haunted Wasteland without the risk of being arrested.
Trivia
- Unlike other Gerudo, due to a glitch as well as graphical limitations of the Nintendo 64, the Gerudo Warrior's clothing and lipstick changes to match the color of Link's tunic, and will therefore turn red or blue if he wears the Goron or Zora Tunic, respectively. She also flashes the color of the Bomb or Bombchu if the hero uses the item while on-screen.[3] The glitch was fixed in PAL versions, the Collector's Edition version, and Ocarina of Time 3D, and thus can only be seen in the original v1.0/v1.1 NTSC release.
Aveil, the Gerudo Warrior's Terminan counterpart - The Gerudo Warrior has a counterpart in Termina named Aveil in Majora's Mask. She is the leader of the Gerudo within the Pirates' Fortress.

Nabooru is the second-in-command to the great Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo Thieves. Her headquarters are in the Spirit Temple, which is at the end of the desert. Say, you must want to become one of us, eh? All right then! You're in from now on! Take this. With it, you will have free access to all areas of the fortress!" — Gerudo Warrior (Ocarina of Time 3D)
