Anubis are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Unlike most enemies, Anubis do not attack Link directly; rather, they mimic his movements, and shoot fire at Link if he attacks them. They can only be damaged by fire attacks, meaning the only way to defeat them is with Fire Arrows, Din's Fire, or by leading them into flame traps. They appear only in the Spirit Temple.
Interestingly enough, an Anubis will occasionally split into two new Anubis if a bomb is thrown at it.

Etymology
Anubis are named and modeled after Anubis, the jackal-headed god of mummification and the afterlife in Egyptian mythology.
