The Rufina (ルフィナ) are one of the Eight Ancient Races of Aria Te'Laria, created as a result of the reboot that followed the disruption of the Ouroboros Ark database.
Story
One of the three Races to survive the Ristaccia war, alongside the Humina and the Amourina, the Rufina, possessing higher intelligence, chose to seek the truth about the stone that had caused the war, and found that the best means of doing so would be to bring all their people together as one entity.
Thus, through unknown means, they condensed themselves, much in the way that the humans of the AD World had ; however, whereas their endeavor aimed to suppress meme and reduce humanity to a static pattern that could be eternally preserved, the Rufina chose to form a memeplex, aggregating their individuality, perceptions, and supposedly beliefs into a single Goddess-like figure, who would go on to be named Sigma.
Because the Rufina were genetically gifted, Sigma proceeded to use their genes and cross them with those of the Humina in order to create a supremely intelligent existence who would transcend the omnipresent reality of Ristaccia and learn of its true nature. Lien was the result of this process.
