"Maliss" (
Design
"Maliss" is based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the novel written by Lewis Carroll in 1865, as well as its 1871 sequel Through the Looking-Glass. Its TCG spelling may also allude to Aliss, a darker re-telling of Lewis Carroll's story by French-Canadian writer Patrick Senécal. The monsters' Cyberse typing may be derived from how "Alice" has been used as a placeholder name in cryptography.
