Zoe Bee (born: May 22, 1996 (1996-05-22) [age 28])^[1][2] is an American^{[citation needed]} YouTuber who makes a variety of content, often related to literature.

Zoe uploaded her first video, How H. P. Lovecraft Scares You, on October 22, 2020.^[3] Her first three videos were about H. P. Lovecraft.^[4] Zoe’s 100,000 subscriber special, which was uploaded on July 25, 2021, was a video with her cats. It was originally planned to be a 50,000 subscriber special, but she surpassed 50,000 faster than expected.^[5]

Personal life

Zoe is a college^[6] teacher, writer, and poet.^[7] As an undergraduate, she started as a biology major. At the end of her freshman year, she switched to English.^[8] At graduate school, she took a teaching assistant position.^[9] She focused on composition pedagogy.^[10] Zoe’s favourite books are The Cosmicomics, Invisible Cities, and Slaughterhouse-Five.^[11]

Zoe is cis, but uses both she and they pronouns.^[12] She is demisexual.^[13] Zoe is married.^[14] Zoe grew up in West Virginia, moved to Ohio at 21, and moved to North Carolina at 25.^[15] She has two siblings, and her parents are divorced.^[16]

Zoe is autistic^[17] and has ADHD.^[18] She has suffered from an eating disorder and body dysmorphia.^[19] She didn't learn how to ride a bike until she was 22.^[20]

Zoe has two cats named Charlie and Desmond,^[21], a dog named Wren,^[22] and a tarantula named Pandora.^[23] Her favourite animals are American bison, cuttlefish, and red pandas.^[24]

Zoe’s favourite bands are Bear Ghost, Saint Motel, and Shawn James. Her favourite movies are Arrival, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Pacific Rim. Zoe’s favourite TV shows are Doctor_Who, The Good Place, and Lost. Her favourite colours are grey, mauve, and navy blue.^[25]
