Ticketmaster is an American ticket company known for their clients. It was founded on October 2, 1976, by Albert Leffler, Peter Gadwa, and Gordon Gunn III.
History
Ticketmaster was founded in 1976 by Leffler, Gadwa, and Gunn. The company originally licensed computer programs and sold hardware for ticketing systems, then having its first ticketed concert at the Electric Light Orchestra.
In 1982, Fred Rosen, the newly appointed CEO of Ticketmaster, moved the headquarters to Los Angeles so it would be close to the entertainment industry and to connect and contract with more venues. He later switched it all into computerized ticketing. In 1998, InterActiveCorp purchased a majority stake of Ticketmaster, later merging with CitySearch in the same year.
In 2009, Ticketmaster agreed into merging with Live Nation to become Live Nation Entertainment. In 2010, Live Action filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster for misleading plaintiffs in its descriptions of delivery and processing fees.
Channel
The channel was created on March 10, 2006, and the first video was uploaded on October 10, 2014. The channel uploaded a variety of videos, which usually include commercials and venue announcements for films, concerts, and sports.
